ACTUAL COMPUTER LEXIS IN ASSOCIATIONS OF SCHOOLCHILDREN

The composition of the so-called computer vocabulary in the associative reactions of schoolchildren is studied using the material of the Associative Dictionary of Saratov and Saratov Region Schoolchildren. It is shown that it has entered the lexicon of students of all age groups and as the students grow up, its relevance increases.

GROUP IN THE POETIC LINE

In this article, we consider the binary delimitation of a string with the first short and the first long hemistichs. It is shown that it is due to the syllabically invariant structure of the sonnet. The lawfulness of applying to the lines with such a division the name "correct" is indicated, since they have the greatest number of metrically perfect sequences, and the metric deviations in them tend to a certain syllable position.

The article focuses on the analysis of some social and professional group discourse from the viewpoint of semantic fields theory. The peculiarities of the lexical-semantic field «Disease» are described based on the material of spontaneous informal conversational discourse of physicians; the structural and functional analysis of the field in question is given.

Paremiology of the Russian Language in the Traditional and Modern World Pictures (on the Material of Proverbs about Work and Labour)

The article deals with the research of the LABOUR concept in the traditional and modern world pictures of the Russian language speakers. The analysis of the functions of those paroemias, which reflect the traditional lifestyle pattern of a Russian person, in modern periodicals renders it possible to elicit changes taking place in the society’s world outlook and the norms and value system.

Basic Units of Formal Syntax

The paper offers a new typology of English basic syntactic units that take part in realizing communicative acts and traces its applicability to a study of Russian basic syntactic units.
