The article is focused on the problem of the evaluation component of sports chats with the purpose of analysing the priority values and establishing the typological classification of evaluating statements.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the metaphorical subsystem of network slang, in particular, the basic groups of vocabulary used as a source of the formation of portable slang values are established; their comparison with general linguistic tendencies is given; the system of sources of metaphorization is considered as a reflection of the original picture of the world of the carriers of this idiom.

The article carries out the analysis of the linguistic means involved in the realization of the strategy of legitimizing the European Union/ Great Britain and the strategy of delegitimizing the Syrian President B. al-Assad on the materials of the British politicians’ talks on the topic of the Syrian military conflict and the international suppression of terrorism.

This paper deals with the analysis of speech means of creating the images of Russia and the USA within the opposition framework «friend or foe» in the Russian press. In the opposition press the author distinguishes ideologemes that create the image of a «friendly» and «hostile» country.
