The article examines the main principles and stages of the development of language policy with regard to the dissemination, use and status of modern French.

Речевое общение с животными в семье имеет особое значение для человека и представляет интерес для лингвистики, поскольку животные наделяются семейными ролями. В статье анализируются факты речевого взаимодействия человека с животными, а также разговоры с растениями и предметами вещного мира, выявляются речевые особенности такого общения и его влияние на семейный микроклимат.

Interaction of Expression and Standard in Phraseological UNITS (Based on Newspaper Headlines)

The article is devoted to the problem of researching the phraseological units transformation patterns in modern newspaper headlines. The study focuses on the typology of phraseological modifications depending on the linguistic means used in the transformation process. The proportion of standard and expressive components of a modified phraseological unit is examined.

The Idiom as a Way of Representing the Linguistic Picture of the World (on the Material of the Arab Phraseological Units with the Component «Hat»)

The article analyzes Arabic idioms with the nominations of headwear. The structure and semantics of the members of this group are identified. The role of these idioms in representing the linguistic picture of the world of Arab ethnicity is determined.

Mythological Metaphor in the Aspect of Metaphor Genesis Research

In the article the mythological image and mythological metaphor are considered as an initial stage in the development of metaphor as a cognitive mechanism of sense formation.

Parcellation as a Tool Increasing a Newspaper Headline Attraction

The article deals with using parcellation as a tool greatly increasing a newspaper headline attraction. We study how parcellation stylistically converges with other devices and tropes, as well as the language game.

Some Aspects of Actual Division Research and Word Order in Internet Communications

In article some common factors of actual division and a word order in Internet communications are considered. Cases of syntactic hierarchy infringement in connection with actualization of communicatively significant component are revealed. The conclusion is drawn on similarity of an Internet communications word order to informal conversation standards.

Pragmatic Aspects of Political Media Discourse

The article is devoted to the analysis of the pragmatic aspects of the English political media discourse. Pragmatic approach to the political media discourse takes into account all the aspects of communication including both linguistic and extra-linguistic units, and provides efficient tools for affecting an addressee.

In the article we single out stylistic peculiarities of dialogue in G. R. Derzhavin’s poetry, the use of stylistically dissimilar speech elements, purposeful slide in style, uncharacteristic of the classic ode genre.
