The article considers Old Believer journalism of the beginning of the ХХth century and the journalistic legacy of M. P. Davydov, a Saratov journalist who actively contributed to the leading Old Believers’ journals of that time. The bibliography of his published articles is presented; as well as short excerpts of some articles; the author’s biographical data and his pen-names are specified.

The author considers the experience of book reviewers in modern printed and social media focusing on the properties of literary reviews and related genres, on their modern goals, and on their taskrelated communicative characteristics.

The article considers literary texts and diary entries Evgeny Grishkovets which establish close links between the World wide web and the forms of traditional literary publication. Pieces of literature created by the popular writer and blogger in the context of social networks designate significant trends and features of the Russian literary process of the beginning of the XXIst century. Philological analysis is focused on the problem of the reader (categories of the «real reader» and the «implicit reader») in the works by Evgeny Grishkovets.

Editorial Management Transformation Under the Digitalization Influence

The article presents the theoretical analysis of editorial management transformation given the rapid digitalization in mass media. The author describes the system of influencing factors of changes and explores the main managerial implications. The author insists on the controversial nature of digitalization in mass media which set a range of challenges for managers.

The article studies instances of information tweaking in mass media texts. The author considers the pressure on the audience on the example of such a technique as bringing in the evidence of the witnesses. The article draws on the texts published in socio-political periodicals Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Izvestiya, Moskovskiy Komsomolets.

The Usage of Multimedia and Interactive Features of the Internet in Electronic Newspapers of Tatarstan

The article presents the results of a comparative content analysis of interviews in online newspapers Business online and Intertat.ru in the Russian and Tatar languages in the period from 1 June, 2012 to 1 January, 2014. Units of analysis and calculation are the subject-matter, layout, journalist’s stylistic devices, as well as the use of the original online media properties. 160 interviews have been analyzed.

The Image of Woman in Politics as Reflected in Internet Mass Media of the Republic of Tatarstan

In the article the analysis of the image of women-politicians of Tatarstan is suggested, based on the publications in Internet media. On the basis of qualitative content analysis of texts published in the Internet media the classification of image types is given, each of them is characterized. The images of five women-politicians are analyzed in terms of personal and social character traits.

TURKEY IN THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE NEWSPAPER "PRAVDA" IN 1938

The work is devoted to an important episode in the history of Russian Soviet journalism - the interpretation of Soviet-Turkish relations in 1938 - the last year of the life of Ataturk's president. The problems of creating the image of a major politician representing a foreign state are considered.
