The article deals with the research of the LABOUR concept in the traditional and modern world pictures of the Russian language speakers. The analysis of the functions of those paroemias, which reflect the traditional lifestyle pattern of a Russian person, in modern periodicals renders it possible to elicit changes taking place in the society’s world outlook and the norms and value system.

The article discusses the possibility of revealing general and individual communication strategies on the material of free associative experiment data; the principle of distinguishing communicative strategies and speech tactics is introduced.

Upon analyzing Russian phraseologically bound sentences such as ‘if we are going, let us go’ from various aspects, their linguistic essence has been described and their semantic structures have been characterized. All the above have allowed to approach the task of creating a general typology of these units.

The article deals with the implementation of the ethical component of the communicative competence of the individual in family communication. The author focuses on what often escapes the field of view of the speakers themselves, but has serious consequences for the development of family relations.
