Lavrentij Zizanij аnd His Book "Besedoslovije”

The article is devoted ю е writer of church Lavrentij Tustanovskij (Zizanij) who has run away from Poland to Moscow under the protection of Patriarch Filaret. in the Department of Rare Books and Manuscripts of the Zonal Scientific Library there is the list of «Katekhizis» compiled by Zizanij, which was renamed by Patriarch into "Весеdesicvie” with е issue of the bock in Moscow. 

The image of Pushkin т N.V. Gogol's epistolary heritage

The artice is devoted to analysis of integral image of A.S. Pushkin found in the letters of N.V. Gogol. The complete Gogol's epistolary heritage is explored to trace the evolution of the peel's image, to define its dominant features аnd features that change depending оп the letter's context. The periods when the image of Pushkin in Gogol's writings can be subjected to integral and unambiguous analysis are also singled out in the article.  

Poetics of the Romantic Drama in the Published works of "Moscow Telegraph"

From the article it becomes clear that the pubiication of works on theorists оf French romanticism in «Moscow Telegraph», issued by N.A. Polevoj, shows the process of deep understanding of rules of new dramatic аnd which occured both in French аnd Russian literatures. Systematic, different by genre, such publications helped the Russian reader to comprehend the experience of romantics, answered their needs to come in touch with the great change in literature, аnd this change was the victory of romanticism over ciassicism. 

French culture in thе context of everyday in the novel of N.G. Chernyshevsky “What is to be done?”

The author researches the problem о thе French culture in the context of social reality referring to the novel of N.G. Chernychevsky «What is to be done?». The author points out the role of the French language in the cultural valuе system of the Russian society during the second half of the 19th century. Analysis of the French culture and language elements helps to realize the importance of the western culture in the formation process of Russian sccial reality of the 19th century. 

Mexican Myth in "The Plumed Serpent’ by D.H. Lawrence

The article considers the nature of myth and symbolism in the most experimental novel by В. Н. Lawrence, «The Plumed Serpent», of which he made а kind of a fable of religious rebirth. The traditional Lawrence’s individual myths take п the novel additionai ideological meanings that condense the models and forms of being аnd correspond to the author’s wish to convey the nature, eternity, the sense of change of epochs and generations. Such understanding of myth's functioning т close to Romanticism.

A wide range of conscious, intentional forms of the author’s presence in Gogol’s drama is revealed on the material of the play «Marriage».

ABOUT ONE OF THE SYMBOLIC ASPECTS OF THE MEDIEVAL NOVEL

The article deals with the symbolic meaning of the medieval novel and its genre nomination. The word "romanz" and the genre of the novel itself refers to Rome and the prestigious, legitimizing tradition, one way or another connected with Rome. in this sense, a medieval novel can be considered as a specific secular and literary analogy of the strategy of "empire transfer".

METAPHORICAL REPRESENTATION OF POWER STRUCTURES IN MODERN RUSSIAN AND AMERICAN MEDIA.

The article deals with the dominant conceptual models used for the metaphorical representation of power structures in the Russian and American political media discourse, describes their structures, reveals common and national specific features, which allows to draw a conclusion about the nature of the perception of political leaders and institutions of power in two linguistic cultures.

The article studies one of the leading stylistic key notes of I. Ilf and E. Petrov’s oeuvre – playing with ‘other’ texts. In the course of analyzing the vaudeville A Strong Feeling a system of allusions to A. P. Chekhov’s play The Wedding is identified (the plot, genre, system of characters, etc.). The study of the ‘quote element’ in the play A Strong Feeling helps to draw the conclusion on the stylistic unity of the co-authors’ creative manner.
