Синестетическая метафора в корпусе

Корпусные технологии играют важную роль в исследовании метафоры, предоставляя лингвистам доступ к обширным коллекциям текстов и статистическим данным. С момента своего появления в 80-х годах прошлого века корпусный подход стал неотъемлемой частью лингвистических исследований, позволяя анализировать метафору как когнитивное и дискурсивное явление. Увеличение объема и функциональности корпусов способствует более глубокому пониманию метафорических моделей и их функционирования в языке, что открывает новые перспективы для лингвистических исследований.

Лингво-когнитивный анализ англоязычного транспортного дискурса в рамках модели транспортного когнитивно-культурного кластера (ТККК)

Статья посвящена лингвокогнитивному анализу англоязычного транспортного профессионального дискурса, основанному на корпусе текстов из специализированных отраслевых изданий США и Великобритании за 2020–2021 гг. В качестве методологической базы используется разработанная автором модель Транспортного когнитивно-культурного кластера (ТККК), которая позволяет системно описывать концептуальную, аксиологическую и когнитивную структуру профессиональной транспортной коммуникации.

Semantics of the entomonym abelha / bee in Portuguese poetry

The paper examines a complex of figurative meanings of the entomonym “abelha” (“bee”), manifested in the space of the Portuguese poetic text of the 19th–20th centuries. The purpose of the work is to trace the transformation of the image and its semantic increments. We used methods of contextual, stylistic, semantic analysis and linguistic and cultural commentary. The material includes poems by Almeida Garret, Guerra Junqueiro, Antonio Nobre, Fernando Pessoa, Sofi a de Mello, José Saramago, Fernando Echevarría, etc.

Role of Slang Metaphoric Nominations in Internet Communication

The article is dedicated to the analysis of the metaphoric subsystem of Web slang. Major lexical groups, used as the source of figurative slang meanings formation, are determined; they are juxtaposed with general language tendencies; the system of the metaphor sources as a reflection of the idiosyncratic world picture of the users of this idiom has been viewed.

Mixed martial arts discourse as a variety of sports martial and interactive discourses

The article dwells on the English language mixed martial arts (MMA) discourse which is interpreted as a variety of sports martial and interactive discourses. The main concepts that represent the entertaining aspect of MMA discourse are singled out. Among them are the following notions: “game”, “fun”, “entertainment”, “show”, “performance”, “pleasure”, etc. All of them have direct lexical representation and correspond with the relevant lexical units. At the same time, they can be indicated through synonymous words and phrases.

The Poet’s Roses: the Poem of Bulat Okudzhava «I don’t Want to Write…» in the Context of Classical Tradition

Okudzhava’s poem is regarded in the context of the classical poetics of rose, in the background of the traditional situation «farewell to the lira». The parallels with Pushkin’s, Batyushkov’s, Boratynsky’s and Khodasevich’s poetry are drawn.

In the article Blok’s tradition is revealed in the image of the Beautiful Lady in Bulat Okudzhava’s poetry (an early poem by Okudzhava “You’re Not Drunkards, You’re Not Vagrants…” is taken as an example). Kipling’s motives in the poem also add to the recognition of Blok’s tradition.
