CULTURAL AND CONCEPTUAL FEATURES OF TRANSLATION OF RUSSIAN PHILOSOPHIC TEXTS TO FRENCH LANGUAGE

The article is devoted to the linguistic and conceptual features of the translation into French of the texts of the Russian philosopher of the twentieth century. A. Losev. On the one hand, we are talking about the designation of different concepts with one unit of the language of translation; The absence of words and expressions makes the translator look for other lexical means.

METAPHORICAL AND METHONYMIC COGNITIVE MODELS IN THE CONCEPTUAL SPACE OF IDITIC

The approach proposed in the article to the idiost of G. Ivanov is based on the hypothesis of a two-level structure of the poetic conceptosphere, which includes the concepts of author's consciousness on the one hand and more complex conceptual structures-cognitive models of interaction of concepts-on the other. The article considers such forms of organization of the conceptual space of idiostyle, as metaphorical and metonymic cognitive models.

BORDER FACILITIES OF THE INLET / OUTPUT IN THE FOLKLORE HOUSE

The article offers a comparative lexico-semiotic study of the concepts of the folklore picture of the world on the basis of the genre of the folk ballad. On the basis of the thesaurus description of the most frequent lexemes, denoting the boundary loci of entry and exit in the English and Russian houses, the author analyzes the similarities and differences in the socio-cultural representations of the two peoples.

To the Question of the Correlation of the Notions of a ‘Fashionable Word’ and a ‘Key Word of the Modern Times’

The aim of this article is to try to differentiate the notions of fashionable words and key words of the modern times. The comparative analysis of these linguistic phenomena is presented in this work. The author comes to the conclusion that fashionable words characterize the aesthetic tastes of society, have a bright outer shell, in the center of attention of native speakers are short time.

Discourse as a Cognitive Mechanism

The article proposes a generalization of theoretical discourse studies as a product or result of social relations, as well as a mechanism or instrument of their construction and regulation. The author structures the ideas of discourse, most thoroughly developed in the national philological science, and focuses on the controversial issues related to the research of various types and forms of discourse.

Concepts of window and окно in the Genre of English and Russian Folk Ballads

The article deals with the lexicographic description of lexeme concepts window and окно in the mythopoetic view of the world exposed in the genre of folk ballad in the English and Russian languages. Using the methodology of thesaurus lexeme description and computational method of word processing, the lexical entries of the given concepts are provided along with the comparative analysis of the concepts reflected in the folk worldview of the two countries.

The Concept ‘Pioneer’ in the Russian Linguistic Picture of the World

This article presents a comprehensive cognitive-oriented study of the concept ‘Pioneer’ in the linguistic picture of the world of the representatives of the Russian culture. The analysis of various lexicographic sources allowed the author to identify a generalized prototype of the concept and obligatory characteristics that reflect its value-based evaluative perception.

Modeling the content and structure of the concept persistence in the russian language consciousness

The article considers the representation of the concept persistence in the Russian language consciousness. On the basis of the associative experiment, the author describes the field organization of the concept persistence in accordance with the core and peripheries and models the structure of this concept by distributing cognitive characteristics among the sensitive-figurative, information and interpretative fields.

The Concept Misery in the Eponymous Novel by Stephen King and Thriller Genre Conventions

The article considers the existing approaches in linguistics to the study of the concept verbalization in a literary text; a comprehensive approach is applied to the study of the concept ‘misery’ in the eponymous novel by Stephen King, which allows us to determine the contribution of linguaculture, genre and ideostyle of the author to this process. The hypothesis is put forward about the meaningfulness of Christian connotations of the concept ‘misery’ in King’s text.
