Виртуальная выставка: между жанром и дискурсом

Предметом рассмотрения в статье является статус виртуальной выставки, которую, с одной стороны, можно рассматривать как составляющую разных социолингвистических типов дискурса – музейного, искусствоведческого, урбанистического, академического, делового и т.д., а, с другой, как особый жанр интернет-коммуникации. Материалом для наблюдений послужили 12 виртуальных выставок разных типов на английском языке, иллюстрирующих музейный, искусствоведческий, урбанистический, книжный и академический дискурс.

Лексико-семантические средства реализации стратегии формирования имиджа вуза (на материале веб–сайта СГУ)

Данная статья сфокусирована на вербальных средствах реализации стратегии формирования имиджа ВУЗа. Исследование проведено на материале официального веб-сайта Саратовского Государственного Университета им. Н. Г. Чернышевского. Дискурс веб-сайта вузов представляет собой многоаспектное образование, сочетающее различные типы дискурса. В современном мире веб-сайт - основной источник получения информации об университете.

Structure and Semantics of Abbreviation

The theoretical aspects of word-formation are considered in the article. For the first time the
complex multiple-aspect investigation of abbreviation in the modern European languages has been carried out.

Pragmatic Aspects of Political Media Discourse

The article is devoted to the analysis of the pragmatic aspects of the English political media discourse. Pragmatic approach to the political media discourse takes into account all the aspects of communication including both linguistic and extra-linguistic units, and provides efficient tools for affecting an addressee.

The Problem of «Feminine Style» in Literary Criticism (Gender Aspect)

The paper formulates methodological principles of the gender component identification in the process of the artistic image analysis. It clarifies the scope of the notions «feminine style» and «feminine literature». The focus is on such a specific feature of feminine writing as gender «bilingualism». The latter is interpreted as a basis for the gradually emerging feminine dominance in contemporary culture.

Synonymic Context as a Factor in the Historical Development of Lexical Semantics

This article considers the historical aspect of the interaction between lexical semantics and discourse. A special emphasis is put on the role of discourse determined synonymic rows in the evolution of the meaning of lexical units. The material of the research is represented by English, French and Spanish medieval written records.

The Addressee Role in Multidimensional Prosess of Communication (in the Interview Genre)

In the article the multidimensional process of communication is considered in the light of spatial relationship of communicants and the types of addressees in the interview genre; it is attempted to create a molecular 3D model of communication.

The author of the article singles out the main strategies of representing Scottish national identity, identifies their historical determination, and presents their link with current world-wide political trends.

Gender «Politics» of a Female Author (on the Example of L. Ulitskaya’s Novels)

The article formulates the methodological principles for the identification of the gender constituent in the analysis of literary texts. Four novels by L. Ulitskaya show the dynamics of the actualized discursive gender model of the world and human being. The article focuses on the techniques of feminine consciousness representation in the text, on their dynamics in the process of a female author searching for the type of an ideal hero.

Cognitive Models of Some Tonality Types of English and French Media Discourse (Retracted 11/04/2022)

The article focuses on the category of tonality that is regarded as the mechanism for representation of the interpreting function of the language. Ironic and complimentary types of tonality are proved to be the most frequently represented in English and French media discourse. These types of tonality are realized by a range of cognitive mechanisms determining the capacity of some cognitive models.
