The article comprises the results of the research of different means of secondary communicative units translation; stable tendencies, manifested in the correspondences between the analyzed united in the original and translated political discourses, are revealed.
The article offers the ethno-cultural context of analyzing the journal Druzhba Narodov (Friendship of Nations) in order to identify the communicative effectiveness of the publications of the said periodical on national issues.
