The article discusses theoretical and research problems of the national language differentiation illustrated by regional variants of French in France.

The peculiarity of territorial variants of French in France and the world is the existence of special sets of dialectisms that have penetrated from Romance dialects which were spoken in the territory of France. The history of these dialects was not the same in different areas, still the dialects have vastly contributed to the fact that the variants of French around the world are either similar or different in terms of their cultural background and structure.

The article discusses theoretical and research issues of differentiation of the national language by the example of regional variants of the French language of France.

The article considers a number of modern ideological systems, among which special attention is paid to multiculturalism, its manifestations at the social, cultural and linguistic levels. The basis for a joint examination of these three levels is the concept of a "dynamic model" that characterizes both the processes taking place in society, and cultural and linguistic processes.
