Phytometaphors in Sergey Lavrov’s speech

The article analyzes phytometaphors recorded in the oral speeches of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov in 2022 – early 2025 describing the current political situation in the world. The relevance of the work is due to the fact that transfers based on floral vocabulary are among the most regular in the linguistic metaphorical system, but their place in diplomatic discourse as an important component of political communication has not been sufficiently studied.

В статье анализируются фитометафоры, зафиксированные в устных выступлениях министра иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В. Лаврова в 2022 – начале 2025 гг. при характеристике современной политической ситуации в мире. Актуальность работы обусловлена тем, что переносы на базе флористической лексики принадлежат к числу наиболее регулярных в языковой метафорической системе, но их место в дипломатическом дискурсе как важной составляющей политической коммуникации недостаточно изучены.

Method of the Binarization of Images of Traces on the Shot Bullets for the Automatic Assessment of Their Suitability to Identification of the Fierarms

Introduction. Nowadays, automatic identification of weapons on electronic databases involves the analysis thousands of images of similar tracks, including images which are not suitable for identification. It is necessary to exclude from the analysis traces not suitable for identification for reduction of volume of calculations and increase of their efficiency.
