The functions of A. S. Pushkin’s intertext in Yu. N. Tynyanov’s novel The Death of Vazir-Mukhtar

The article focuses on the formal and content role of Pushkin’s intertext in Yu. N. Tynyanov’s novel The Death of Vazir-Mukhtar. Diff er ent ways of introducing quotes, references, allusions to A. S. Pushkin’s works are revealed. Such features of quoting as non-attributiveness, inexactness, pre-text reduction to single word images are elicited in the process of analysis. In the opinion of the author of the paper, this indicates a play-based dialogue with the reader who should unravel Pushkin’s texts independently and discern the “mistakes” of reproduc tion.

Функции пушкинского интертекста в романе Ю. Н. Тынянова "Смерть Вазир-Мухтара"

Статья посвящена осмыслению формально-содержательной роли пушкинского интертекста в романе Ю. Н. Тынянова «Смерть Вазир-Мухтара». Выявляются разные способы введения в повествование цитат, референций, аллюзий, отсылающих к произведениям А. С. Пушкина. В процессе анализа раскрываются такие особенности цитирования, как неатрибутированность, неточность, редуцированность претекстов вплоть до отдельных словообразов.

Polysemanticism of Velimir Khlebnikov’s Short Stories («Highlanders»)

This article considers the peculiarities of V. Khlebnikov’s short stories, revealed on the example of his story «Highlanders» in the context of his historical and philosophical views and successive connections with the Russian classical literature.

The Roman Empire in the Lyric Poetry of the Late Soviet Period (Jaаn Kaplinski and David Samoilov)

In the present paper the extent of allusions to topics in the history of Ancient Rome is assessed within the officially accepted Soviet literature. Different instances of interest towards the Roman antiquity among the poets of the second half of the ХХ century are classified and accounted for. The social and literary context of Rome-inspired Jaаn Kaplinski’s ( Vercingetorix, 1967) and David Samoilov’s ( Remus and Romulus, 1969) lyric poetry is assessed, as well as their relationship with the Classical subject matter and the 19th century civil poetry.

The Specifics of the Reception of S. Ya. Nadson’s Poetry in the Journalism of the Old Believer Bishop Mikhail (Semenov)

The article analyzes how an old believer Bishop Mikhail (Semenov), one of the prominent opinion journalists of the 20th century, drew upon S. Ya. Nadson’s poetry. Bishop Mikhail used poem excerpts as quotes, which allowed him to express his own attitude to other literary works, to argue, to highlight his own opinion. The use of Nadson’s allegory of Love has a specific nature of its own. An original means of an individual reception of other authors has been brought to light.
