The facets of parody in the novel Le Télémaque travesti by Pierre Carlet de Marivaux

This article deals with understanding the polemic of the novel Le Télémaque travesti by Pierre Carlet de Marivaux (1714) with Les Aventures de Télémaque (1699) by François Fenelon. It is noted that despite the interest of researchers in the novel, the specific nature of its poetics was not considered within the framework of the polemical focus on its predecessor; therefore, the aim of the article is to consider the peculiarities of the hero’s relationship with reality in the context of the Fenelon polemic based on the principle of parody.

The Peasant Question on the Pages of Economicheskiy Ukazatel’ (1857–1861) of I. V. Vernadsky

The article describes the main conditions and trends in the development of periodicals of the turn of the 1850–1860s, in particular the newspapers and magazines of business. Special attention is paid to the position of I. V. Vernadsky’s magazine Economicheskiy Ukazatel’ (Economic Guide) in relation to the peasant question.

The Poem by Bulat Okudzhava My Son’s Tin Soldier in the Cultural and Historic Context of the 1960s

The poem by Okudzhava is comprehended against the background of a number of texts published during the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Patriotic War. Okudzhava’s unique stand in the situation of the historic celebration is determined, the controversy with Levitansky’s poem The Little Man is traced. It is shown how Andersen’s formula of the ‘persistent tin soldier’ is transformed in Okudzhava’s point of view. The views of Okudzhava and Samoilov on literature about the war are compared.
