The Image of Home and the «Thought of Family» in L. N. Tolstoy’s Poetics

Tolstoy’s poetics has never been studied in the combination of the «image of home» with the «thought of family». The relationship between these two categories is clearly visible, especially in the novels War and Peace, Anna Karenina, and Resurrection. Having considered these works by Tolstoy, written in different periods of his creative work, we can unwittingly notice the obvious relationship between the «image of home» and the «thought of family».

Rumours in the Russian Traditional Proverbs and Sayings

The article deals with the semantic range of the «rumours» concept based on the Russian proverbs and sayings, collected by V. I. Dal and I. M. Snegiryov: the features, structure and content of rumours are analyzed. The subjects and objects of rumours are investigated. Also the connection between the «rumours» and «fame» is revealed.

B. A. Vasilyev’s Idea of History and its Realisation in the Novel «Prince Svyatoslav»

The author investigates B. A. Vasilyev’s idea of history, the devices used for its artistic realization and reveals genre features of the novel «Prince Svyatoslav».

The Forms of the Author’s Presence in «Players» by N.V. Gogol

In the article the intentional and unintentional forms of the author’s presence in Gogol’s comedy «Players» are described; the correlation of the author’s intention in this single act play with the comedies «Revisor» and «Marriage».

In this article, symbolism as a whole is viewed as a logical manifestation of the evolution of world culture and, at the same time, as a unique direction of a new world view and its embodiment in new artistic forms. In the crisis era of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. both Western and Russian symbolists fell into the epicenter of the struggle of dual spiritual morality. The fate and work of the famous Russian symbolist V.Ya. Bryusova - a vivid confirmation of this. "Borrowing" the basic principles of the aesthetics of Western symbolism, V.Ya.

BORDER FACILITIES OF THE INLET / OUTPUT IN THE FOLKLORE HOUSE

The article offers a comparative lexico-semiotic study of the concepts of the folklore picture of the world on the basis of the genre of the folk ballad. On the basis of the thesaurus description of the most frequent lexemes, denoting the boundary loci of entry and exit in the English and Russian houses, the author analyzes the similarities and differences in the socio-cultural representations of the two peoples.

L. Dobychin’s ‘Acquisition of Prospects’ and Yu. Tynyanov’s ‘System Change’ as the Elements of Post-modernism Aesthetics

The article considers the peculiarity of L. Dobychin’s narrative strategy on the example of the novel The Town of N; the author points out the significance of Yu. Tynyanov’s theoretic and methodological ideas for the modern research of post-modernist aesthetics.

The article raises the question of whether the people from M. E. Saltykov’s circle in his provincial periods of life should be noticed. N. S. Rzhevskaya, a talented singer and composer, a friend of Saltykov in his Tver and later Ryazan periods, was one of them; her relationships with the writer were based on trust.
