The Internet: the Mass-media Features

The article deals with the comparative analysis of traditional mass-media (press, radio and TV) and the new communicative technology – the Internet. The article contains the analysis of functional characteristics of the World Wide Web: synthetical character, expansive way of development, fragmentariness in giving information, high-speed informational divulgation and high manipulative potential.

The syntactic method of word formation as an effective way of professional languages replenishment (based on the material of English-language terminology of customs and television)

This article is devoted to the consideration of the term system as a set of professional knowledge terms using the example of English customs activity (further referred to as CA) and television (further referred to as TV) fields. Nowadays, there are dynamic digitalization and computerization processes of the main activity areas, including CA. The usage of modern information technologies and telecommunications simplifies the basic CA processes significantly. Therefore, it can be mentioned the presence of the term systems intersectoral links.
