Влияние исторических фильмов на формирование культурной среды (на примере картин о Древнем Египте)

Аннотация. Статья посвящена рассмотрению киноискусства как средство формирования культуры. В данной статье предпринята попытка осветить общее представление об историческом игровом кинофильме о Древнем Египте. Отмечается, что киноиндустрия на протяжении своей истории формирует культуру, способствовавшую взаимоотношению народов, так как кинематографические материалы (фильмы) стали одной из видов познания истории и культурных традиций многих народов.

To the Question of the Description of Russian Literary Historical Discourse of the Turn of the XX–XXI Centuries

The paper deals with modern literary historical discourse, its contents, boundaries, intentions, and genres. The material under study spans the works of Russian literature created in the late XX and early XXI century. The main tendencies of the discourse evolution are revealed and methods of its further investigation are suggested.

Scientific Biography of a Writer as a Type of Literary Research (The first article)

This paper examines the history of the study of the biographical genre in literature; its basic theoretical and methodological principles are formulated; the corresponding terminology is clarified.

CHEKHOVSKY "PLATONOV" ("PIECE WITHOUT NAME") IN THE INTERPRETATION OF M. FREIN

The article is devoted to the study of the play of the modern English playwright M. Frein "Wild Honey", which in turn is a translation-interpretation of Chekhov's "Platonov". The article analyzes approaches, ways Frein uses in working with Chekhov's text, and also tries to understand how organically the classical Russian-language text exists in the space of the theatrical culture of England.

Russia in James Hilton’s Knight Without Armour

Against the vogue for Russia in British travel books of the 1930s, the paper brings back to light James Hilton’s novel Knight Without Armour (1933), set mainly in Russia in Revolutionary years. This entertainment novel is shown to lack the excessive political stance on Russia found in the travel genre of the period. Hilton creates a nice balance between general Western stereotypes of Russia and his individual vision, thus normalizing the reception of Russia for Western reader.
