Research on how sensory perception is coded in language is driven by the need to understand the connection between perception and language, two central cognitive systems. Despite the growing scientific interest, the strength of this connection across various human experiences remains unclear. This study analyzes English song discourse, which, in our opinion, communicates important patterns in the use of lexis of perception. The objective of the research is to explore how this lexis operates within contemporary English song discourse.

The article focuses on the analysis of situation concept of inner state subject in the English, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian languages. The situation concept is regarded as a dynamic formation, representing the interaction of the situation key participants from the point of view of the parameters of a semantic role and a taxonomic class. Both the constituents of the concept and semantic features of key participants of perception situation are established.

The article focuses on the analysis of perception situation models in language and text. The subject of perception modeling in language semantics and in a literary work is not only the manifestation of the language and literary thought anthropocentrism but one of the ways of learning and philosophical understanding of the phenomenon of a human being, determination and unity of his spiritual and physiological nature.
