Contest “Gorod bez oshibok” (“Error free city”): About the speech culture of a big city

The article analyzes the linguistic material obtained as a result of the 2023 “Error free city” contest initiated by philologists of the Ural Federal University. The contest fits into the circle of studies devoted to the interpretation of regional/urban identity as a phenomenon that has a mental and semiotic nature. The local text, whose multidimensional nature is an iconic feature of this object, allows us to address the examination of the visual aspects of the urban environment, the assessment of the ecological component of urban texts of the city.

Конкурс «Город без ошибок»: о речевой культуре большого города

В статье анализируется языковой материал, полученный в результате проведенного в 2023 году конкурса «Город без ошибок», который инициировали филологи Уральского федерального университета. Проведение конкурса вписывается в круг исследований, посвященных интерпретации региональной / городской идентичности как феномена, имеющего ментально-семиотическую природу.

Speech Errors in Political Media Discourse: Metaphors and Idioms

The article analyzes the functioning of metaphors and idioms in modern newspaper political texts; speech errors in the use of these expressive means in the speech of authors and heroes of publications (journalists, politicians, political scientists, etc.) are revealed. The main types of such defects, as well as linguistic and cognitive reasons for their occurrence are established.
